City Parking


The City of Traverse City has a combination of parking garages, meter parking lots, metered street parking and street parking.  The parking garages are conveniently located in Downtown (Larry C. Hardy Parking Garage) with an entrance on State Street and the Old Town Garage on 8th Street.  For a full list of parking available through the city (along with rates and restrictions) please check out this link

Bayline Festival Shuttle


The FREE Bayline shuttle (operated by Bay Area Transportation Authority or BATA) will run every 12-15 minutes from 7am to 1am during the National Cherry Festival. The main pick up areas for the Bayline are Woodland Creek (East), Cherry Lot at Northwestern Michigan College (Central) and Meijer (West) Parking Lot adjacent to the Car Wash.
Shuttles approaching the Cherry Festival from the West will drop off at the intersection of State St & Union St. Shuttles approaching from the East/Central will drop off at the intersection of Front St & Union St. To return to your vehicle on the West Side, the shuttle will pick up at Front & Union and to return to your vehicle at the Central/East Location pick will be at State & Union St. For a map of the Bayline Route please click here.

Norte Bike Valet


Norte, a local non profit, whose mission is to help build stronger, better connected and more walk/bike friendly communities by empowering the young and young at heart, runs the Bike Valet during the National Cherry Festival.  Use the Traverse Area Recreation Trail (TART Trail) or one of very friendly bike lanes in downtown Traverse City and park your bike safely at the Norte Bike Valet. Lose a chain or have a flat while at the festival, Norte will also have have tools available for small repairs to your bike.  The bike valet is a FREE service!
